Eileen White: About the artist

Eileen White studied art at the University of Maryland, principally with the Luminist sculptor, Anne Truitt. In 1983 she moved to Italy where she obtained her MFA at Rosary College, Villa Schifanoia, studying with Enzo Faraoni.

The main sources of inspiration for her work are the natural landscape, religious and mythological themes, poetry and suggestions from the unconscious. She also enjoys portraiture. Until recently she has worked almost exclusively in oil painting. She lives and works in Italy.
